If you haven’t heard, Chris Brown is being ‘black balled.’ Many of his fans have complained about not being able to find his album at their local retail stores…the main complaints refer to Walmart. Judging from the frequency of the curse words on Brown’s twitter page, he’s not happy about it. He’s cursing the retailers and the industry…yet apologizing to his fans all at the same time. My question to you is, does he have the right to complain? Are the retailers ‘noble’ for keeping Graffiti off the shelves??

Sparred for only two 2 minute rounds tonight, and I could hardly make it to the end. I have a new found respect for mixed martial artists who can last the whole match. The cardio required is extra intense. Guess I gotta work on mine...

And by bang I mean FIGHT!!! At tonight's live UFC match-up, Kimbo Slice had his UFC debut against 'the assassin' Houston Alexander...a match-up made for fireworks and a super knockout. The fight went extra slow in the first round with Alexander working Kimbo's weak leg and circling the ring the entire 5 mins. In the second round, Kimbo was finished with that non-sense and fist started to fly. The action came from both sides and there were some crazy hits and take-downs. To everyones surprise the fight went the entire 3 rounds with Kimbo winning a unanimous decision. Good Fight...Good Night

Over the long weekend I had a chance to watch SpikeTV's original series "The Kill Point." It was an 8 part mini-series starring John Leguizamo and Donnie Wahlberg. The show features Leguizamo and his gang of bandits attempting to rob a bank...as usual, something goes wrong and escalates the conflict into a story worthy of a mini-series. Wahlberg is the head negotiator in town. There are many twists and turns to make the story worth watching...I did it in one sitting, if nothing else, rent the dvd on netflix. For a more detailed synopsis check out the link below...I give it 2 thumbs up and think it was worth watchin when it was live (2007).

So many companies have been making the claim that they are "going green" ...are their methods truly effective? I've heard of a company removing all personal garbage cans in favor of central trash receiving areas in buildings. Hmm that sounds like it would merely hinder productivity....every time you need to throw something out you have to leave your desk, which creates multiple opportunities for 'water cooler talk', or you could end up with a nasty mess on your desk. I'm just trying to understand where the true value is in it....if you can figure it out please let us know!

So far...So good!!

I've had the game for 3 hours now and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is amazing! There seems to be some problems with PS3 trophies for some people, and i noticed issues inviting individuals to my Spec Ops party....i'm sure a patch will fix both issues by tomm. If you haven't picked it up as of yet, it's def time! Quite possibly the best FPS of all time!

Got out of work early today, so I decided i'd catch a flick while I wait for my copy of COD:MW2 to arrive. Todays feature? "The Midnight Meat Train" its a horror flick from one of those horror festivals. It was going pretty well and spooky until about halfway into the film...then it starts to go slightly left...as they say. At the very least, it will make you think twice about riding the subway after midnight. I'll give it one thumb up and suggest it as a rental horror film. It does feature well known actors including the main guy (Bradley Cooper) from "The Hangover" and "He's Just Not That Into You". Here's the trailer if it peaks your intrest.

PS3 Fix Update**

So we revisited the damaged PS3 with an industrial strength heat gun this time. The result? A BRAND NEW PS3!!! The finished fix runs quieter than it did out of the box, and it plays like new. So for a total of about $7 in material and 3 mins with a $25 heat gun...we were able to rebuild a $300 PS3. And you know what that means...I'm opening shop!!! If your PS3 is busted, gimme a call....o yea, no gaurantees though...

It’s truly an amazing site to see. The underground sport has been featured in many action movies, from Casino Royal to District B13 and if you type the words into youTUBE, watch the screen fill with talent. This Thursday, MTV will be hosting a Parkour Challenge at 10pm…if you have nothing better to do, it’s def worth a look, if not a DVR recording.

Dr. Dayze to Surgery STAT!

So this past Saturday a good friend of mine witnessed the death of his PS3. Unfortunately both his Sony and Extended warranties had expired and was forced to choose between two options: accept defeat and buy a new PS3 or try to operate and fix at home. That when my phone rang…grabbed my electronics kit and next thing you know I had opened and re-fluxed a PS3. This only temporarily fixed the issue because we didn’t have an industrial heat gun necessary…if you or someone you know has a heat gun, please let me know!!

College?

So I had a disccusion with my boss today about the necessity of a college degree. Is it truly necessary to be successful?? I always thought that was a no brainer, but if you take a good look at it, maybe it's not so basic. I have a decent job which requires the minimum of a Bachelor's...but at the same time there are Union jobs at my company which require a few tests and a high school diploma. Funny thing is, I supervise some of these employees and with the average amount of OT they can make 3 times my salary...EASILY. So I wonder...was it worth it?? There are many other examples we came up with, but heres food for thought, please feel free to comment...

So I've had this move "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" on my netflix queue for over a year...it finally got to the top today and I decided to check it out during some homework. The movie went straight to DVD but it was amazing. It's a ridiculous look at the extremes some people will go to for $$. In these times $$ may be more valuable than any other time in my lifetime, but at what cost. If you have an account, its a 'play now' film. I suggest you check it out without reading the synopsis its much better. 9-5 gives it two thumbs up...great rental.

As many of you may have read before....AT&T delayed the use of MMS (photo messaging etc.) on the iPhone because of "issues." Well at long last, they have finally given a solid date for 'end of the summer' and it's only a couple of weeks away! The actual date is September 25th 2009. More info on the article below!

Unbelievable!!!

Yesterday something absolutely detestable happened in a walmart in the US. A mother and her child were shopping the the young girl was crying. A disgruntled 61 year old man said "shut that baby up or I will!" at which point he slapped the girl in the face 4 times and said "I told u I would!" even thou she was crying more. What kinda crazy world is this...please chime in on this one guys!

Sony announces new PS3 today along with $100 price cut to all versions of current PS3!!! The new console is currently up for preorder and will be available in stores the first week of September 2009. Not only is it significantly smaller, but it will also consume 32% less power...(greener is better they say) another saving!

Have you guys been listening to this news about Stephon Marbury? Dude has lost it! Over the past couple days he has been doing a weblog ...some episodes oven last 24 hours. Through these videos you can see him having multiple mental break downs. First he's crying histarically, then he's eating vasiline, over the weekend you could have witnessed him leave the scene of an accident...blaming the accident on the "devil". I liked the New York native in his prime...but something tells me he's going through some things...

Imagine this

A horrible global disaster has hit and 90% of the population has been killed by a viral outbreak. Some how the survivors are immune to the disease, but the world is now post apocalyptic and the survivors must fend for themselves as they begin to rebuild. he Discovery Channel is currently conducting an experiment/reality show where they've dropped 10 people of different disciplines (engineet, doctor, handman, trainer...) into an abandoned city after being deprived sleep, food, and water for thirty hours. They will b in this city for 10 weeks an must find their own means to survive. The key twist is that there are muaraders/gangs that will try to shake up the 10 by stealing food and testing security, but the 10 don't know anything about them so the conflict and interactions between them are truely genuine. The show is called the colony, it comes on Tuesdays at 10pm you can catch the first two episodes on hulu or discoverytv.com. They also do reruns on Saturday I think...what would be the first think you do in such a situation??? Comment below...

Check this out...over the past week a young female 'tweeted' a friend of hers to come to a party and get out of her moldy horizon realty rented apartment. That statement was caught by horizon realty and they are now looking to take her to court!!!! That's right they are filing a $50,000 law suit for the negative publicity. Best part....she only had 20 followers, and now that they've done this, everyone can find out lol.

Everybody's a Critic...9

So I was finally able to peep the highly underrated feature film "Push" staring Chris Evans (Human Torch in Fantastic 4) and Dakota Fanning (small blonde girl in tons of movies). The world the story is set in is quite compelling...you get a feel for what is going on in the first 10 mins and explanations come along as the movie progresses. It is sci-fi in nature (many characters of the story have telekinetic powers) but still believable. I'd rather not ruin the movie for you so I'll stop here, but definitely push this to the top of your netflix list...we give it 2 Thumbs up!

That's pretty sweet!

A lot of movies have been coming out in 3D lately, and if you haven't heard, they've even released some high-end computer monitors/TV's that allow playback of 3D media. Some channels have even aired 3D episodes of shows/commercials (although you needed special glasses to watch them). So 3D is definitely a fighting trend....as you can see above youTUBE has enabled playback of 3D videos for the past couple days. They allow many different options so even if you don't have those tubular glasses, you can try to cross your eyes long enough to watch a video without getting them stuck! Really cool I tell ya!
