Netflix on PS3...REVAMPED!

On October 18th you will no longer need a disk to run the netflix app on your PS3...and the application has been fully updated make navigation 5x easier, 1080p playback available, and 5.1 surround sound also available!!!! This is an epic win on all counts!!! PS3 will be the only platform to have this new version of netflix for the coming months...take that Microsoft!!! For those of you haven't already heard, HULU the great tv recap website has launched a preview to their new premium subscription service, Hulu Plus. A $10 monthly subscription will allow users to see entire seasons (including old seasons) of all their favorite shows and hulu plus many many more including old shows. But wait, thats not all! You'll also be able to watch hulu plus on your iPhone, iPad, PS3, XBox360, and internet enabled TVs. Its a cool deal if you ask me, but 10$ is a lil steep for me, especially when I have a DVR, but I would get it if anyone wanted to split it...

Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package PS3!

Finally!
Finally the stimulus package is arriving to PS3 Tuesday May 4th!!! I just might need to find time for video games again!!!! It will run you 15$ but in my experience, it will be worth it!

So far...So good!!

I've had the game for 3 hours now and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is amazing! There seems to be some problems with PS3 trophies for some people, and i noticed issues inviting individuals to my Spec Ops party....i'm sure a patch will fix both issues by tomm. If you haven't picked it up as of yet, it's def time! Quite possibly the best FPS of all time!

Review....Netflix on PS3

So I got my netflix streaming disk yesterday and gave it spin...I LIKE IT! It has a very simple interface and it couldn't be easier to catch up on older seasons of interesting shows you've been planning to see, not to mention catching flix for movie night when you can't wait for the next delivery. Comment with your experiences. I can't wait for the integrated solution in 2010!

PS3 Fix Update**

So we revisited the damaged PS3 with an industrial strength heat gun this time. The result? A BRAND NEW PS3!!! The finished fix runs quieter than it did out of the box, and it plays like new. So for a total of about $7 in material and 3 mins with a $25 heat gun...we were able to rebuild a $300 PS3. And you know what that means...I'm opening shop!!! If your PS3 is busted, gimme a call....o yea, no gaurantees though...

Dr. Dayze to Surgery STAT!

So this past Saturday a good friend of mine witnessed the death of his PS3. Unfortunately both his Sony and Extended warranties had expired and was forced to choose between two options: accept defeat and buy a new PS3 or try to operate and fix at home. That when my phone rang…grabbed my electronics kit and next thing you know I had opened and re-fluxed a PS3. This only temporarily fixed the issue because we didn’t have an industrial heat gun necessary…if you or someone you know has a heat gun, please let me know!!

Patience can sometimes pay off in Tech

Sony announces new PS3 today along with $100 price cut to all versions of current PS3!!! The new console is currently up for preorder and will be available in stores the first week of September 2009. Not only is it significantly smaller, but it will also consume 32% less power...(greener is better they say) another saving!
