TV You Should Know About.....10

Jack Bauer Kiefer Sutherland makes his grand return to Television & FOX with his new show from Heroes writer Timothy Kring. Interesting concept that's been done before, but hopefully this is a new spin. Jack will play the father of a mute boy who can see the way everything in the world is connected. He leads Jack on some 'journeys' that will help people?? I'm not sure, but this is one of the midseason shows, I'll update the post w/ a premiere date once it's set...meanwhile watch the trailer:

TV You Should Know About....9

Last night was the premiere of Fox's long delayed awaited future sci-fi, action, dinosaur thriller "Terra Nova." And it was well worth the wait!! The production team spared no expense on developing this first episode...the CG effects were very well done and seemed to last throughout, not to mention the physical effects and props which were also spot on. These developments are some of my favorite parts of the show, but it also worries me because they seriously expand the budget on the production which has led to cancellation for other big sci-fi themed shows. I'm just hoping the viewer base is large enough to last at least a second season.
The characters had 2 hours worth of premiere to give give us a peek at who they are and who they may develop into on this new "frontier" I'm trying not to give anything away. The casting was also well done w/ Stephen Lang (from AVATAR) as Commander Taylor was a perfect fit...he was basically type casted because of his performance in Avatar i'm sure but regardless. Come to think of it...this show has a lot of nods to Avatar: science/military working 'together' on a foreign land, large creatures which pose a threat, future tech...etc. Maybe that's part of the reason I like it so much?! Anyway, this is a show you need to watch, if you can't fit it into your schedule, at least watch the premeire below...if you can swing it, it will be on Monday nights at 8pm right before House...yes, Monday's are a great night of TV again!

Blue Olivia is Back!

...and red Broils is missing some vital, how should I say...items?? Last night's episode of Fringe was fire and went back and forth between the Blue and Red dimensions. Definitely worth watching, at least during 43 minutes of your lunch break.

Why So Soon??? Horrible Decision!

Unfortunately ABC dropped the hammer on the hit show FlashForward. Many compared the show to LOST especially because of some of the shared development team and Actors. This show was meant to do battle w/ 'V' to fill the void that would be left by LOST after this season and 'V' won the spot. Many think they may have made the wrong choice. Check out the season/series finale and find out if your favorite character's future came true...it may not be what you expect.

Coming to a Theater Near You...v24

The time is finally here. James Cameron, director of the original Terminators and The Titanic, brings us into an amazing new world in his new movie Avatar. Sci-fi/Action movie at its best...this film involves an army force from Earth a native race of 10' tall blue creatures from a foreign planet. Faster & Faster

Is it me….or does it seem like time is going faster and faster every year? I swear, it feels like it was August only yesterday; I blinked and its gonna be Christmas tomorrow! I know I can’t be the only one that feels this way. I just hope there are some smart people looking through telescopes that will make sure we aren’t getting any closet to the sun…

So there are tons of shows...new and returned this fall, but i think this is the best new show by far! It is from the makers of lost and its just as gripping if not more. The Gorilla's Got the GUN!!!

If you've never watched the SciFi (SyFy) channel before here's at least one reason to flip by it once in a while. Check out this old clip from Scare Tactics (hosted by Tracy Morgan). There are much better episodes but this dude is great. Its a prank reality show where the scare the crap out of people. And this video isn't from youtube for all u folks w/ good IT departments.

Everybody's a Critic...6

Over the weekend I saw "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." I enjoyed the movie, it really depicted a lot of his history in an understandable light, although there were many in accuracies in the film. (Deadpool never had Cyclopse's vision or swords out his hands like wolverine...nice touch though) If you like action movies, comic books, x-men, mutants, outlandish stunts, or just plain old science fiction...I think you'll enjoy it as well. There's also a game coming out to accompany the film...supposidely it won't disappoint, judging from all other movie based video games...I find that hard to believe. If you haven't seen the movie yet, and plan too...stay after the credits there are two extra scenes. Also, not many know it, but depending where/when you see the movie you can see different scenes!! I think that was a lil addition because of the movie being leaked...if you saw the movie let me know what you think.

Sci-Fi Reality

If you haven't seen a movie where someone erases someone else's memory, chances are you missing a little piece of something in your life. You may have also missed your first warning of the technology. Believe it or not, researchers at SUNY Downstate Medical Center have developed a drug that has successfully erased memories. Trials were conducted in lab rats. Once the rats learned not to go to a certain area of the maze which was electrified, they administered the drug and low and behold, rat started getting zapped again. The doctors believe the drug will be used on humans "one day" and may have applications as a memory enhancer. Anyone willing to be the first human guinea pig??
