Jack BauerKiefer Sutherland makes his grand return to Television & FOX with his new show from Heroes writer Timothy Kring. Interesting concept that's been done before, but hopefully this is a new spin. Jack will play the father of a mute boy who can see the way everything in the world is connected. He leads Jack on some 'journeys' that will help people?? I'm not sure, but this is one of the midseason shows, I'll update the post w/ a premiere date once it's set...meanwhile watch the trailer:

Almost all new and returning shows have premiered, including Dexter's late HEAD start last night (get it? guess you kinda had to see it...). Tonight my main man Gregory HOUSE returns to his 9pm time slot w/ guest star Steve UrkelJaleel White!! Gonna be a good episode. Otherwise, the last amazing show to return will be the Walking Dead on October 16th...that will be all.
Last night was the premiere of Fox's long delayed awaited future sci-fi, action, dinosaur thriller "Terra Nova." And it was well worth the wait!! The production team spared no expense on developing this first episode...the CG effects were very well done and seemed to last throughout, not to mention the physical effects and props which were also spot on. These developments are some of my favorite parts of the show, but it also worries me because they seriously expand the budget on the production which has led to cancellation for other big sci-fi themed shows. I'm just hoping the viewer base is large enough to last at least a second season.
The characters had 2 hours worth of premiere to give give us a peek at who they are and who they may develop into on this new "frontier" I'm trying not to give anything away. The casting was also well done w/ Stephen Lang (from AVATAR) as Commander Taylor was a perfect fit...he was basically type casted because of his performance in Avatar i'm sure but regardless. Come to think of it...this show has a lot of nods to Avatar: science/military working 'together' on a foreign land, large creatures which pose a threat, future tech...etc. Maybe that's part of the reason I like it so much?! Anyway, this is a show you need to watch, if you can't fit it into your schedule, at least watch the premeire below...if you can swing it, it will be on Monday nights at 8pm right before House...yes, Monday's are a great night of TV again!
So according to our "seasoned" meteorologists, Hurricane Irene plans to do work on the eastern seaboard. Its in Florida now just blowing a little wind, but by the time it hits the Carolinas, it is suppose to get real serious, so much so that millions have evacuated the state! And 6 other states have declared a state of emergency, including NY!!! To be honest, the only reason I know this is because this type of weather requires that I'm working around the clock...but none the less, here are some tips to follow should the storm really DO WORK!
· Prepare an emergency supply kit, which includes items like non-perishable food, water, a battery-powered or hand-crank radio, extra flashlights and batteries, medications and essential baby items. You may want to prepare a portable kit and keep it in your car in case you are told to evacuate.
· Listen to the radio or TV for information.
· Secure your home, close storm shutters, and secure outdoor objects or bring them indoors.
· Turn your refrigerator thermostat to its coldest setting and keep its doors closed.
· If you plan to use a generator in the event of an extended power outage, make sure to review all safety instructions, including disconnecting your wiring system from our system before operating the generator. NEVER use a generator indoors.
· Turn off propane tanks. Avoid using the phone, except for serious emergencies.
· Moor your boat if time permits.
· Ensure a supply of water for sanitary purposes such as cleaning and flushing toilets. Fill the bathtub and other large containers with water.
and...
· Stay indoors during the hurricane and away from windows and glass doors.
· Close all interior doors – secure and brace external doors.
· Keep curtains and blinds closed. Do not be fooled if there is a lull; it could be the eye of the storm – winds will pick up again.
· Take refuge in a small interior room, closet, or hallway on the lowest level.
· Lie on the floor under a table or another sturdy object.

Hmmm, so is this track suppose to lead me to believe that Lil' Wayne is now an R&B singer? Will his next video include a dance sequence during the bridge?? Am I the only one confused by this??? Regardless of my confusion I think I like this tune de...enjoy:

If you've been living under a rock, you may not have heard that Osama Bin Laden was murdered by Navy Seals. Found this sweet comic cover I'd like to share with you:
So I read this study this morning and apparently more than 50% of parents in the United States fully support their 25 year old (and up) children. I can't say I'm surprised because I've got a few friends and family members in such situations, but that's crazy to me. In my parents day they were rushing to get out the house! What do you think about this statistic?
"... The cast negotiations that were holding up the fourth season of Jersey Shore have been resolved, meaning the entire cast has signed on and they'll all be heading to Italy soon. Text 'GTL' to 90999 to donate to Italy's disaster relief fund. [TMZ]"
For those of y'all who thought the rumors about the terminator's (Arnold) new cartoon were hilarious are in for a bit of a surprise. Because they aren't rumors! See the first footage of "The Governator" which is set to debut some time in 2012...if we make it that far.
I've been out of the regular college community for a while, but I've recently taken a few classes on a campus and seen a number of classes being taught via Skype. From what I hear it is a very popular alternative for classes being taught in multiple locations and online classes. Well check out this system of video conferencing developed at MIT. Really makes a video conferencing session interactive and intelligent for lack of a better word. I could really use something smart like this at work...cuz our video conferences suck! are old school.
Love food?? Well I do!!! This week is Long Island's first restaurant week of the Spring...it started today and will go until Sunday the 10th. Take this opportunity to try out some of the pricier restaurants on the island w/ 3 course menus for $24.95 throughout. I've tried experiencing these weeks in NYC and DC and its a win for everyone. Go for it guys! And if anyone would like to take me out...I'd be happy to recommend a place...or 3!
So, I went into Sucker Punch this morning thinking "Zack Snyder, attractive females, guns, swords, and sweet effects." THAT WAS JUST A TASTE OF THE MOVIE!!!!! The movie was amazing in my opinion, it starts off w/ a small piece bringing you into the world of the main character, BabyDoll. During this sequence you get a taste for the musical tone of the movie. I thought it was really well chosen...throughout the movie the soundtrack comes in w/ songs perfectly matching the on screen action.
Before I give away too much let me say this...the movie is an amazingly fantastical thrill ride! I consider myself a dreamer and this movie basically brings you into an amazing dreamworld...sorta looked liked mine!. And my last piece of advice, take in the dramatic tone of the the initial scenes because before long BabyDoll will meet her inspiration and the movie turns into a live action video game, like Scott Pilgrim but grittier.
Sucker Punch is in theaters and IMAX starting yesterday March 25th 2011.
Earlier this morning, Rapper Wyclef Jean was shot in Haiti. He was shot in the hand after being ambushed. Judging from the pictures he is receiving medical attention. More info to come.
This video is crazy, it really shows you the power of nature. Keep in mind, the earthquake did not hit Tokyo.
It is a crazy situation going on over there, and I urge my readers to support in anyway that you can just as we did for Haiti not long ago. My Prayers go out to those most closely effected by this tragedy.
Dude has a couple of funny looking moves, but that doesn't concern me nearly as much as the fact that his mother is guest starring in this 4 minute piece lmao
Believe it or not, Jersey Shore has been renewed for a 4th season!!!! But thats not even the best news...the best part is, drumroll please....they will be going to Italy next season!!!!! WHAT!!?!?!? sh!t is gonna b epic. haha
Important things to note about this Verizon iPhone:
Only hardware difference, antenna is CDMA as opposed to GSM. For you non geeks and engineers, that means that it can not do data and phone at the same time so expect to have your browsing sessions interrupted or some missed calls; it is also older & slower than the GSM network therefore you will have much more limited access in foreign countries (important note: this iPhone will not be compatible w/ Verizon's new and improved LTE 4G network they are currently installing. A positive about the Verizon iPhone is that they will allow you to use the phone as a MiFi hotspot...no word if theres an extra price for that though.
Will Verizon ever get the iPhone? Will it be an iPhone 4 or a completely new phone? It it be a better deal than AT&T? The answer to these questions and more in 24 hours!!! More and more details coming together, making it look very likely. I wonder...how fast will AT&T's shares drop if it does happen?
Looks like the day you've all been waiting for is finally upon us. Verizon is having some huge even on Tuesday where they will likely be announcing a Verizon iPhone. We've seen the parts floating around for about two weeks. If this ain't it, I'm sorry but it just ain't happening. Tune in Tuesday!
And its winter time! The ski lift is hilariously painful. I applaud the minds that think up these contraptions and control the devices which embarrass these fools! Enjoy:
