Do any of you have a "Classifieds" webpage at work? You know, a place where you buy, sell, and advertise between people in the company. Well I do, and I check it often for good deals. Sadly there was a very disturbing post yesterday..... "Depends: I have 10 packs of depends adult diapers, and I am willing to part with them at a very fair price, please email for more information." That's she's selling diapers on the corporate intranet with her name # and email address all out there! I'm embarassed for her...

College?

So I had a disccusion with my boss today about the necessity of a college degree. Is it truly necessary to be successful?? I always thought that was a no brainer, but if you take a good look at it, maybe it's not so basic. I have a decent job which requires the minimum of a Bachelor's...but at the same time there are Union jobs at my company which require a few tests and a high school diploma. Funny thing is, I supervise some of these employees and with the average amount of OT they can make 3 times my salary...EASILY. So I wonder...was it worth it?? There are many other examples we came up with, but heres food for thought, please feel free to comment...

So I've had this move "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" on my netflix queue for over a year...it finally got to the top today and I decided to check it out during some homework. The movie went straight to DVD but it was amazing. It's a ridiculous look at the extremes some people will go to for $$. In these times $$ may be more valuable than any other time in my lifetime, but at what cost. If you have an account, its a 'play now' film. I suggest you check it out without reading the synopsis its much better. 9-5 gives it two thumbs up...great rental.

As many of you may have read before....AT&T delayed the use of MMS (photo messaging etc.) on the iPhone because of "issues." Well at long last, they have finally given a solid date for 'end of the summer' and it's only a couple of weeks away! The actual date is September 25th 2009. More info on the article below!

Unbelievable!!!

Yesterday something absolutely detestable happened in a walmart in the US. A mother and her child were shopping the the young girl was crying. A disgruntled 61 year old man said "shut that baby up or I will!" at which point he slapped the girl in the face 4 times and said "I told u I would!" even thou she was crying more. What kinda crazy world is this...please chime in on this one guys!
